Who are the doctors at Piedmont Eye?
Dr. Timothy R. Bevis, a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and lens implant surgery who is fluent in Spanish; Dr. Lisa Sun, a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and lens implant surgery and glaucoma treatment; and Dr. Karl Stonecipher, a board-certified cornea and refractive surgery specialist.
Should I remove my contact lenses before my appointment?
Yes. If you wear contact lenses, please remove them at least two weeks prior to your appointment. This allows for the most accurate measurements and ensures the best possible results from your eye evaluation or procedure.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We accept all major insurance plans, including Medicare. Because insurance coverage changes often, we encourage you to call our office at (336) 854-4441 to confirm your benefits.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first consultation is thorough, so please allow up to three hours for testing and review. You will complete medical history forms (you can download them in advance), our vision technicians will conduct a complete screening and measurements, and your ophthalmologist will review the results and explain your options.
What lens implant options do you offer for cataract surgery?
In addition to standard monofocal lenses, we offer premium intraocular lenses: toric lenses designed to correct astigmatism, and multifocal and extended depth of focus lenses that provide clear vision at multiple distances and reduce the need for reading glasses.
