Dr. Timothy R. Bevis was born and raised in Statesville, NC. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida in 2002. He went on to complete his internship at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in 2003. Dr. Bevis completed his Ophthalmology training at the University of Florida, Gainesville where he was awarded the Ophthalmology Resident of the Year. While completing his studies, he volunteered at health fairs and rural health clinics in Guadalajara, Mexico as well as Miami, Florida. Dr. Bevis is fluent in Spanish. 

Dr. Bevis moved to Greensboro in 2006 and opened his own practice in 2008. He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and specializes in cataract and lens implant surgery, including toric and multifocal lenses, as well as General Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the North Carolina Medical Board. 

Dr. Bevis and his wife are actively involved in church activities. They have two girls that keep them very busy. In his limited free time, he enjoys golf, fishing, various outdoor activities, and spending time with his dog, Dexter.
